CONTRIBUTORS TO THIS ISSUE 'E: F. BUR.TON, Professor of Physics and Director of the McLennan Laboratory in the University, is the author of The Phenomenon of Superconductivity (1934). W. F. GIE:'SE, Professor Emeritus of Romance Languages in the University. of Wisconsin, is the author of distinguished critical works on Victor Hugo and Sainte-Bcuve. J. R. MACG1J.LIVRAY is an Assistant Professor of English in University College. w: S. MILNE is a graduate' of the University and a well-known critic of the Canadian theatre. EDGAR McINNl~ is an Assistant Professor of History in the University and has contributed to the QUARTERLY and other Canadian periodicals many articles on contemporary affairs. E. J. URWICK. has recently retired as head of the Departments of Political Science and Social Science in the University.
