Editors’ Introduction

The essays in this volume are a series of ruminations on the African Diaspora and blackness as theoretical objects for thought, as lived experience, as a problem of knowledge, and as artistic and political representations. As such these ruminations deepen our understanding of diaspora and blackness in multiple registers that require an engagement with both our human and inhuman histories if our future is to be one of possibility.
