Vera J. Camden is Professor of English at Kent State University, Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University, a member of the Clinical Faculty of the Rutgers University School of Social Work, and Training and Supervising Analyst at the Cleveland Psychoanalytic Center. She specializes in seventeenth-century British literature and is currently editing the domestic papers of Mary Franklin for the University of Toronto Press Other Voice series. Her research includes the works of Alison Bechdel, Henry Darger, and John Bunyan. She is completing a book on the uses of literature in the psychoanalytic dialogue.
Panayiota Chrysochou is coordinator of Gender Studies at the University of Cyprus under the auspices of UNESCO. She received her doctorate in Psychoanalysis, Theatre and Gender Studies from the University of Edinburgh and her work has appeared in The Journal of Literature and Trauma Studies. Her research interests include psychoanalysis and trauma studies, performance theory, postcolonial theory, and the Gothic aesthetic. Her current research examines technology and vision through psychoanalytic and socio-cultural frameworks.
Teresa Fenichel is a doctoral student in Philosophy at Boston College. She received her M.A. in Philosophy and Psychoanalysis from The New School for Social Research and her A.B. in Philosophy from Harvard University. Her research interests include psychoanalysis, German Idealism, and aesthetics. Her dissertation explores the works of Freud and Schelling.
Alice A. Jones, M.D. is a physician, psychoanalyst, and poet whose collections of poems include The Knot (Alice James, 1992), Extreme Directions (Omnidawn, 2002), Gorgeous Mourning (Apogee, 2004), and, most recently, Plunge (Apogee, 2012), which was a finalist for the Northern California Book Award [End Page 711] in Poetry. She has received awards from the Poetry Society of America and Narrative Magazine and fellowships from the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference and the National Endowment for the Arts. She practices psychoanalysis in Berkeley and is a personal and supervising analyst at the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis and the Psychoanalytic Institute of Northern California. She co-edits Apogee Press.
Jared Russell is a psychoanalyst in private practice in New York City. He is a Fellow of the International Psychoanalytic Association and a faculty member and clinical supervisor at the Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research (IPTAR). He teaches in the departments of Philosophy and Cinema Studies at Purchase College (State University of New York).
Phyllis van Slyck is a Professor of English at LaGuardia Community College, City University of New York. She has published in The Henry James Review, Criticism: A Quarterly for Literature and the Arts, and critical anthologies on Henry James, including The Finer Thread, The Tighter Weave: Essays on the Short Fiction of Henry James (Purdue, 2001) and Tracing Henry James (Cambridge Scholars, 2008).
