Western Literature Association 1978 Annual Meeting The thirteenth annual meeting of the Western Literature Association will be sponsored by Utah State University at Park City, Utah, on September 28, 29, and 30, 1978. Papers on any aspect of western literature are invited; however, those directed to the following topics will be of special interest: 1. land use in western literature 2. the West: myth or reality 3. the writer and the critic 4. the Southwest: Is it a separate region? Papers on individual authors are invited, particularly: Paul Horgan Wright Morris Ross Calvin John Graves Elmer Kelton Lawrence Clark Powell Frank Waters Mary Austin D. H. Lawrence Edwin Corle Papers on these writers or on any Western American writers are solicited, as are suggestions for sections and for other activities that will make for a valuable annual meeting.
