APCG STUDENT PAPER AWARD WINNERS T h e A w a r d s C o m m it t e e , under the leadership of Mark Wilson, pre sented the following Student Paper Awards at the 64th Annual Meeting held in Santa Barbara, California, in September 2001. The President's Award for Outstanding Paper by a Ph.D. Stu dent was presented to Gwen Gustafson Scott, University of Oregon, for "The Asia-Pacific Triangle: Constructing the Pacific Savage and Reconciling Racism in U.S. Immigration." The President's Award for Outstanding Paper by an Under graduate Student was presented to Julienne Gard, Long Beach City College, for "Fever Trees: The Geography of Malaria." The President's Award for Outstanding Student Poster was pre sented to Elizabeth B. Watson, University of California, Berkeley, for "Calibration of Microfossil Assemblages with an Environmental Gradient in the Marshes of the San Francisco Estuary."
