The man without is too much like ourselves, the golden one, who speaks with golden tongues, a golden choir behind his golden chair.
So much, the man within lit naked fires and orange-eyed, renounced the man without. And so the man within returned to things,
to worldly working things removed of doubt; but in returning found perpetual fault. The Golden Man is too much of ourselves.
Still the brightly choir sings brightly gold, and fire-eyed men renounce their fiery world. And still the man without remains within. [End Page 238]
