These three papers are from a special session that was held on the work of Mary Briody Mahowald at the 2013 meeting of the Society for the Advancement of American Philosophy Mahowald also received the Society's Schneider Award for 2013. This award recognizes a career-long achievement of "distinguished contributions to the understanding of American Philosophy"
