Argersinger,who holds the MA in EnglishfromNorthwesternUniversity,joined the WashingtonStateUniversityDepartmentof English in 1989,recently assumed the post of Vice President of the Council of Editors of LearnedJournals followinga term as its Secretary -Treasurer,and currentlycoeditsESQ:AJournal of theAmerican Renaissance,a scholarlyjournal also published by the WSU College of Liberal Arts and its Department of English. She has published articles and reviewessays on SusanB .Warner,aswell asnotesand bibliographic indiceson EdgarAllan Poe,and has edited and coediteda range of collectionsand specialjournal issues dealing with Poe, Hawthorne, Melville , Fuller, and Emerson and Nietzsche. She has been largely responsible for guiding the redesign and transition of Poe Studk/Dark Romanticismto its current form as an annual.
