SpecialNet is a computer-based communication/information network designed to provide (a) special education information at your fingertips, every day when you need it, on a variety of topics, including deafness, vision, litigation, and promising practices: (b) a nationwide network of educators, resource organizations, advocacy groups, parents, and others interested in special education; and (c) information to improve programs and professional skills.
SpecialNet includes electronic mail (personal correspondence between individuals and groups), electronic bulletin boards (up-to-the-minute information on key topics in special education, e.g., deafness), and data collection and information management systems (a computer-based tool for conducting surveys and storing information for later analysis).
