Abstract

This article is part of a series that discuss Bonnie J. Miller-McLemore, editor, The Wiley-Blackwell Companion to Practical Theology (West Sussex, UK : Wiley-Blackwell, 2012) as presented at the book launch at the Toronto School of Theology on November 9, 2012. The reviewer highlights the author's portrayal of the multivalent nature of practical theology and the order she brings to its many recent developments and themes. Attentive to its rhizomatic character, she asks whether there might be some limits to its place in the theological endeavour and the academy.
