FICKERT NOTE At the 1968 meeting of the MLA, a group of scholars attending the Brecht Seminar formed themselves into an International Brecht Society. Since the formation of the Society, plans have been advanced for the publication of a Brecht Yearbook with the first issue to appear in early 1971. The new Yearbook, with Eric Bentley (Columbia) and Reinhold Grimm (Univ. of Wisc.-Madison) as Senior Editors, and John Fuegi (Univ. of Wisc.-Milwaukee) as Managing Editor, is planned as an international clearing house for the best writing on all aspects of Brecht studies. Brecht, the, man of the theater, will be as welcome to the Yearbook as the poet, playwright, and aesthetic theorist.
