A Note from the Editor

It is my pleasure to introduce our annual Black History Month issue, and its supplement, sponsored jointly by teams at Xavier Unviersity in New Orleans and Meharry Medical College. In lieu of a lengthy Note from the Editor, this issue begins with an address given by Dr. Rahn K. Bailey, President of the National Medical Association and Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at Meharry Medical College. Thanks to Dr. Bailey and to the Guest Editors of the supplement—Dr. Leonard Jack, Dr. Kathleen Kennedy, and Dr. Darryl B. Hood—for making this an especially memorable publication cycle.
