Anurima Banerji is assistant professor in the Department of World Arts and Cultures/Dance at University of California at Los Angeles, where she teaches dance and performance studies. Her current research project focuses on Indian classical dance and the role of the state in regulating enactments of gender.
Maude Boulet est doctorante et chargée de cours à l'École de relations industrielles de l'Université de Montréal. Ses recherches actuelles et travaux antérieurs portent principalement sur l'intégration des immigrants au marché du travail au Québec par rapport aux immigrants des deux autres grandes provinces canadiennes d'immigration, soit l'Ontario et la Colombie-Britannique. Dans sa theàse de doctorat, elle s'intéresse plus particulièrement au concept de qualité d'emploi ouà elle analyse les emplois des immigrants par rapport aux natifs en ce qui a trait aux revenus d'emploi, à la stabilité d'emploi ainsi qu'à l'adéquation entre le niveau d'études requis par le poste et celui de l'individu. Précédemment, elle a complété une maîtrise en relations industrielles ainsi qu'un baccalauréat en psychologie à l'Université de Montréal.
Kim Brooks is dean of the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University and previously held the H. Heward Stikeman Chair in the Law of Taxation in the Faculty of Law at McGill University and appointments at Queen's University and the University of British Columbia. She teaches all areas of taxation, with particular interests in critical policy analysis, the interaction of high- and low-income country tax regimes, and other tax policy issues. A prolific SSHRC-funded scholar, she has served as president of the Canadian Association of Law Teachers, managing editor/secretary of the Canadian Journal of Women and the Law, co-chair of the National Steering Committee at the National Association of Women and the Law, editor of Women and Gender Law Abstracts, and chair of the Board of Directors in the National Legal Committee at the Women's Legal Education and Action Fund.
Marie-Théreàse Chicha est professeure titulaire à l'École de relations industrielles de l'Université de Montréal. Elle agit comme experte en matieàre de politiques d'égalité aupreàs du Bureau international du travail (Geneàve). Elle est chercheure au Centre Immigration et métropoles ainsi qu'au Centre d'études ethniques des universités montréalaises et chercheure associée à la Chaire de recherches en immigration, ethnicité et citoyenneté. Seori Choi has recently completed her thesis at the University of Wollongong on the experiences of Filipino migrants in information technology and nursing sectors in Singapore and is currently working with the IOM Migration Research and Training Centre. Her research interests lie in issues at the intersection of skills and migration.
Elaine Craig is an assistant professor at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University. She teaches and writes in the areas of criminal law, constitutional law, and feminist legal theory.
Myriam Hachimi Alaoui est maître de conférences en sociologie à l'Université du Havre en France et chercheure associée à l'équipe Equipe de Recherche sur les Inégalités Sociales du Centre Maurice Halbwachs. Ses publications et travaux récents portent sur les nouvelles formes d'inégalité liées à la restriction des politiques d'immigration en France et en Europe, notamment en ce qui concerne l'acceàs aux soins des personnes en situation irrégulieàre. Elle débute une recherche sur les nouvelles politiques d'intégration en France et plus particulieàrement sur les cours d'instruction civique prodigués dans le cadre des contrats d'accueil et d'intégration. Elle est également l'auteure d'un ouvrage sur l'exil des Algériens et des Algériennes en France et au Québec depuis les années 1990 (Les chemins de l'exil, Paris, L'Harmattan, col. « Logiques sociales » 2007).
