Aerial Delivery: Bombing The Cascades Skimming firs, a multitude under my wings, I push the button dropping three thousand rainbow, brook, golden, cutthroat: a cloudburst of fingerlings into a lake wide as a village. Christ, eyes lifted, could pull down salmon. Showering silveratoms — carp and perch ascended from the ponds. Shaped like Japanese lanterns, the paper balloons: incendiary bombs, migrated across the Pacific to spawn fire in the timber.
