From the Secretariat A note written with mixed feelings. This is to announce the pending resignations of the executive director and editor of RMMLA, and to solicit bids from other universities in the Rocky Mountain region interested in hosting the Association after it leaves the University of Utah. RMMLA moved to Utah in the spring of 1974, and the present secretariat was installed for a renewable three-year term, which expires of course in the spring of 1977. Except for an extension of a year or so that will be helpful in phasing in our successors (who otherwise will face planning for the 1978 convention alone), we have elected not to renew our terms. We wish our successors, whoever they turn out to be, the same congenial circumstances we have enjoyed and the same good fortune in their choice of business manager and assistant editor. Interested schools in the area should begin making their bids early, as the process of relocation (one of the first things we learned) can be complicated and time-consuming. Inquiries should be directed to Joel Hancock at the RMMLA office, 2056 Annex, University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah 84112. Hopefully, the Executive Board will be able to decide on the Association's new home on the basis of those bids at the Las Vegas convention, but the decision must be made no later than the spring 1978 Board meeting.
