Abstract
A2 Albany is where Byron lived from 27 March 1814 until his marriage. This essay describes Albany itself, its history and its milieu, then Byron's apartments and his sojourn there. It gives a personal impression of the rooms as they are at present, and then situates Byron's time there within the larger context of his life and poetry.
