Correspondence concerning subscriptions should be addressed to the usual address at the UNC Press and concerning reviews to Sandra Gustafson at the address found on the inside cover.

Planning took place on 11 March 2003 for the second summit of early Ibero- and Anglo-Americanists at Providence, R.I. Representatives of Brown University and the John Carter Brown Library met with members of the original program committee to explore the possibility of a second summit to be held in Providence in 2004 or 2005.

Prof. Christopher Grasso, editor of the William and Mary Quarterly, has contacted EAL about the possibility of a joint exploration of some topic or topics in concurrent issues of both journals. Suggestions of subjects that lend themselves to both literary and historical investigation are solicited from our readerships.

Prof. Loraynne Carroll of the University of Southern Maine had inquired whether it would be useful to devote a section of EAL to pedagogical concerns. I would be curious to hear from the readers about this. Is there a need for presentations now being served by the SEA website and conference sessions? [End Page 333]
