REVIEW OF THE XXVI ANNUAL MEETING OF THE DIVISION The twenty-sixth annual meeting of the Southeastern Division of the Association of American Geographers was held November 21-23, 1971, at the Phoenix Hotel, Lexington, Kentucky. The host institution was The University of Kentucky. Helen Corman, Principal Secretary of the Department of Geography, was in charge of local arrangements for the meeting. Sidney R. Jumper was in charge of the program committee. A record 295 persons registered. After the Division membership was welcomed by Otis A. Singletary, President of The University of Kentucky, a full program of 72 papers occupied two days. Edward J. Taaffe, President of the Association of American Geographers, addressed the banquet on the subject, "Regional Geography: Alive and Well?" In the honors competition for the best papers by graduate students, the winners were NyIe K. Walton, The University of Georgia, and Jacques Emplaincourt, The University of Alabama.
