WE BELIEVE IN PUBLIC ART THAT INCORPORATES PAINTING, SCULPTURE, INSTALLATION, AND ADVERTISING. BR USING ANY ENVIRONMENT TO EXHIBIT OUR WORK, WE NOPE TO QUESTION ASSUMPTIONS ABOUT THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE PUBLIC'S IDEAS ABOUT ART AND WHERE THEY VIE W ART. EXHIBITING WORK THAT IS CONSTANTLY ACCESSIBLE IN PUBLIC PLACES, OUR OBJECTIVE IS TO PRODUCE WORKS OF ART THAT WILL EVENTUALLY BE AS FAMILIAR AS POSSIBLE— ON A BILLBOARD ON THE LAMBETH WALK, PERHAPS, OR IN AN INSTALLATION IN KNIGHTSBRIDGE. P.ART ONE IS A COLLABORATION OF DESIGNER SARA SAFIULLAH AND PAINTER GODFRIED DONKOR. THE PARTNERSHIP BEGAN WITH THE REALIZATION THAT BOTH ARTISTS WERE INSPIRED BY A COLLECTION OF SIMILAR THEMES, INCLUDING THOSE ASSOCIATED WITH OUTSIDER ART, POP ART, MEDIA, FASHION, MUSIC, AND THE IDEOLOGY OF EPHEMERAL ART, PARTICULARLY FROM INDIA AND AFRICA. Godfried Donkor is currently studying for an MA in Art History at S. O. A. S in London. He recently attended the Thapong International Painting workshop in Botswana; he will be exhibiting his paintings later this year in London. Sara Safiullah teaches BA students at Central Saint Martins School of Art, as well as working on freelance commissions.
