CONTRIBUTORS TO THIS ISSUE William B. Feis received a master's degree in history from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1989 and is currently a doctoral candidate in military history at The Ohio State University. James A. Rawley is Carl Adolph Happold Professor of History, Emeritus, at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. His most recent book is Secession: The Disruption of the American Republic, 18441861 . Donald M. Fisher is a doctoral student at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Michael W. Fitzgerald is associate professor of history at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota.
