CONTRIBUTORS TO THIS ISSUE Ann Douglas Wood, a member of the English Department at Princeton University, has published several articles on aspects of American culture during the nineteenth century. John C. Ruoff is a doctoral student in history at the University of Illinois. Raimundo Lurachi, professor of American history at the University of Genoa and recently visiting professor of history at the University of Georgia, has published widely in the period of the Civil War. His best known volume is Storia della guerra civile americana (1966), reviewed in Civil War Histonj, XIII (Mar., 1967), 83-84. ...
