CONTRIBUTORS TO THIS ISSUE Edwin C. Fishel, of Arlington, Virginia, has for the last ten years been engaged in writing a multivolume work on Civil War intelligence operations. Ari Hoogenboom, an associate professor of history at Pennsylvania State University, is completing a biography of Gustavus Vasa Fox and working on a bureaucratic history of the Lincoln and Johnson administrations. David S. Sparks is an associate professor of history at the University of Maryland and editor of the recently published diary of General Marsena Patrick. Curtis Carroll Davis, of Baltimore, is a biographer and critic specializing in literary and social studies. H. H. Wubben is an assistant professor of history and education at Oregon State University. Richard O. Curry is an associate professor of history at the University of Connecticut. His book on West Virginia statehood appeared in 1964. F. Gerald Ham is a member of the staff of the State Historical Society of Wisconsin. ...
