In late 1966, to mark the end of the Fall courses at the Universidad Internacional de Canarias, the Teatro Insular de Cámara presented Moreto's El lindo don Diego. In February 1967, four entremeses of Cervantes were presented in the television series "Teatro de siempre": La guarda cuidadosa, El retablo de las maravillas, El juez de los divorcios, and La cueva de Salamanca. During the celebrations in honor of Saint Thomas Aquinas, the Colegio La Salle-San Ildefonso of Santa Cruz de Tenerife held a theatre week which included performances of two entremeses of Cervantes: La elección de los alcaldes de Daganzo and El juez de los divorcios . In May of 1967, the newly formed Teatro Universal Contemporáneo of Mexico presented Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz's Loa para el auto sacramental de El divino Narciso and Calderón's La cena del rey Baltasar. The director, who also adapted Sor Juana's work, was Jebert Darién. The performances took place out of doors, in the Plaza de las Tres Culturas. [Visión, May 26, 1967, p. 62]. Lope de Rueda's Comedia Medoro was performed at the Teatro Odeon of Montevideo, directed by Juan Jones (date not known). [Le théâtre dans Ie monde, XV (1966), 313]. Tirso de Molina's Don Gil de las calzas verdes, in German translation (Don Gil mit den grünen Hosen), was offered in a students' performance at the Landestheater, Linz, on Feb. 27, 1967.
