Special Section: The Tilly Fund for Social Science History and Hirschman Prize Remarks

The inauguration of the Charles Tilly and Louise Tilly Fund for Social Science History was announced at the Albert O. Hirschman Prize ceremony in October 2008. Several weeks before his death on April 29, 2008, Charles Tilly had received the Social Science Research Council's Hirschman Prize in recognition of his extensive career spanning the social sciences. The special section devoted to Charles Tilly features the Hirschman Prize ceremony speeches by Craig Calhoun, Ira Katznelson, and Joan W. Scott.
