O'Connor; and "Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz: The Fourth Labyrinth" by Margaret Sayers Peden.« o » # A new collection of critical editions and monographs dealing with Golden Age literature has been announced by professor Donald McGrady of the University of Virginia. The series bears the name Biblioteca Sigh de Oro. The purposes of the collection are: 1) to publish editions and studies of distinguished quality; 2) to eliminate the non-returnable subsidies usually required by both private and university presses for these scholarly publications; 3) to reduce greatly the current delays for printing; 4) to make these books available at cost to students—and also to professors whose college or university library subscribes to the series. The economic principles involved are the elimination of profits and of a salaried staff and the initial financing of each publication by the author or his institution ; this investment will be amortized by the sales of the subsidized volume (it is hoped that eventually this subvention can be dropped entirely).
