Editors:
I am more than a little perturbed at the headlining of my article "Death By Gender" on the cover of the Spring Dissent. "Honor killings" as a category is not a "feminist" issue (which many readers skip by); It is a human rights issue. It is not just "sexual violence" when girls and women are maimed and killed. It is just plain violence, and the focus should be on the death of people of a certain category; and, as it would be in the case of men, a human rights issue.
