In lieu of an abstract, here is a brief excerpt of the content:

Letter to the Editor I have just read the recent publication of the American Annals of the Deaf (yo\. 147, no. 1, 2002). The article "Residential Psychiatric Treatment of Emotionally Disturbed Deaf Youth" includes what is said to be an exhaustive list of all residential treatment programs for deaf and hard of hearing children. Our program was not included on the list, so I wanted to let you know about us. We are Cathedral Home for Children, a nonprofit residential therapeutic/psychiatric treatment program for troubled and traumatized children. We are located on a 600+ acre campus in Laramie, WY. Our program for deaf and hard of hearing children includes a year-round accredited school, which (once construction is finished on a new wing of our school this December) will provide three additional classrooms specifically designed for this population of children. The classrooms will provide a cutting-edge approach to deaf education and a classroom environment that allows for optimal learning. Our program is very comprehensive, including a wilderness program, horse program, community service program, spiritual program, etc. We aim to be the most recognized program of our kind in the United States and to provide the very highest quality of care for these children. We have a national reputation, and referring agencies and individuals from all over the United States recognize the quality of services we provide. We want to make certain that parents and referring companies are aware of our service. And, for all of those people that are aware of us, we want them to know that we are continuing to provide services. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions (or ever have any) about our program. Very respectfully, Joseph Hunter Cathedral Home for Children PO Box 520 Laramie, WY 82073 (307) 745-8997 (tel) (800) 676-6146 (toll free) (307) 742-6146 (fax) JHunter® CathedralHome. org www.cathedralhome.org Volume 147, No. 4, 2002 American Annals of the Deaf ...
