Schools and Programs in the U. S. Introduction nformation on schools and programs for deaf and hard-ofhearing children and youth in the United States is provided in three sections. For this year, the sections are: 1. Directory Listing for 1993-94 (page 175)—provided below, includes program name, address, telephone number, and administrator . 2. Program and Services Chart for 1993-94 (page 215)—information on each of the programs in the directory, including program type (residential/day; tuition/no tuition), number of students enrolled, services offered (e.g., parent-infant program , continuing education), and communication methodology used in the classroom. These first two sections present data collected in a special Annals Reference Issue survey, conducted in October and November 1993, by the Center for Assessment and Demographic Studies (CADS) at Gallaudet University for the 1993-94 school year. 3. "Inclusion or exclusion? Deaf students and the inclusion movement"—data from the 1992-93 Annual Survey of Hearing Impaired Children and Youth. Note: Listing is in alphabetical order by state and city.
