198 THE EDITOR'S FENCE 1. ELT Seminar: The Aesthetic Movement (MLA. New York. Dec 1974)ι This year the ELT Seminar will meet on 28 Dec 1974, at 700 8 :45 p.m., in Madison B of the Hotel Hilton. Professor Karl Beckson (Brooklyn College, CUNY), as Discussion Leader, will head a panel consisting of Ruth Z. Temple and James G. Nelson. The three papers that serve as the basis for discussion are published in this number of ELT. Papers will not be read at the meeting, but each author will briefly summarize his essay. Participants in the Seminar are advised to bring their copy of ELTj nonsubscribers may purchase a copy in advance for $1.50. Since admission is limited by MLA rules, prospective participants are urged to contact Professor Beckson prior to the meeting. 2. Future ELT Seminars ι We are now planning ELT Seminars several years in advance : H. G. Wells (1975) and The Novel and Society (I976). Topics for 197? and 1978 are currently under consideration. We welcome suggestions. 3· A.S.B. Seriesi George Gissing, compiled and edited by Joseph Wolff, has been published] E-. M. Förster, compiled and edited by Frederick P. W. McDowell is nearly ready for the printer; John Galsworthy, compiled and edited by Earl E. Stevens and H. Ray Stevens, is nearly ready for final editing) the manuscript for H. G. Wells, compiled and edited by William J. Scheick and J. Randolph Cox, is about two-thirds complete. Volumes on D. H. Lawrence, Walter Pater, Ford Madox Ford, George Bernard Shaw (tentatively in three volumes), and Oscar Wilde have been contracted for future publication.
