173 CONFERENCE ON EDITORIAL PROBLEMS The fourth conference on Editorial Problems will meet November 8-9 at the University of Toronto. This year papers and discussion will concern the problems arising between author and publisher. Francis Halpenny Canadian Publisher and the Canadian Author in the Twentieth Century.............George Parker These papers will eventually be printed in a volume similar to those of the first three conferences. Attendance is limited to about 100. **** MIDWEST MODERN LANGUAGE ASSOCIATION The 1968 MMLA meeting will be in Cincinnati, Ohio, at the SheratonGibson Hotel, on October 17-19· Convention materials (registration forms, room reservation forms, and the program) will be mailed with the new MMLA Bulletin In September. The program theme is "Poetic Theory/Poetic Practice." Four papers on this topic will be delivered at the opening general session, Thursday evening, October 17, hy Donald Justice, Elder Olson, Henry Hago, and Roger Shatttuck. The speakers will also give readings from their own poetry, Friday, October 18. The topic for the professional panel will be "Educational StandardsEducational Politics."
