Sally Lindsay is a Research Fellow at the Institute for Social, Cultural and Policy Research, University of Salford, UK. Her research interests include sociology of health, occupations/professions, social inequality, and gender issues. Christopher Murphy is Chairperson of the Department of Sociology and Social Anthropology at Dalhousie University, Halifax. His current research and teaching interests lie in the sociology of policing, security and governance, social and criminal justice, and social policy research. He is currently engaged in research on international policing and governance, the impact of security on public policing and the policing of migration and immigrant communities in Canada.
