From the Editor

Welcome to volume 10. At times it seems like only yesterday we were putting the first issue out; it’s fun, invigorating, interesting. At other times it seems like we have been publishing forever; it’s another deadline, another computer glitch, another low-res graphic file. Fortunately, the former is realized more often than the latter, particularly because of the great people associated with native plants, and with Native Plants Journal.

In this issue we run the moisture gradient, so to speak. We have propagation information for a showy wetland plant of the eastern US; collection, processing, and storage details of streamside willows; smoke-water application to stimulate germination of the gorgeous beargrass plants of mesic Pacific Northwest forests; planting insights for grasses (and new grasses) of the interior West; and finally, establishing plants of the Sonoran Desert.
