2008 LEA Author Index Leonardo Electronic Almanac Volume 16 ( January–August 2008) For over a decade, Leonardo Electronic Almanac (LEA) (ISSN No: 1071-4391) has thrived as an international peer-reviewed elec tronic journal and web archive covering the interaction of the arts, sciences and technology. LEA emphasizes rapid publication of recent work and critical discussion on topics of cur rent interest, with a slant toward shorter, less academic texts. Many contributors are younger scholars, artists, scientists, educators and de velopers of new technological resources in the media arts. Contents include profiles of media arts facilities and projects, insights of artists using new media and feature articles compris ing theoretical and technical perspectives. Cu rated galleries of current new media artwork are also a regular feature, and LEA publishes occasional special issues on topics such as locative media, new media poetics, and wild nature and the digital life. LEA is produced by Leonardo/The International Society for the Arts, Sciences and Technology (ISAST) under the editorship of Nisar Keshvani. This index covers the period of January 2008 through August 2008. Due to differing production schedules, LMJ cannot include the full 2008 LEA index; however, the index will be posted online and updated through the rest of the year at , with links to the articles .
