The article award committee of the Children's Literature Association publishes a bibliography of the year's work in children's literature in the Children's Literature Association Quarterly and selects the year's best critical articles. For pertinent articles that have appeared in a collection of essays or journal other than one devoted to children's literature, please send a photocopy or offprint with the correct citation and your address written on the first page to Dr. Gillian Adams, 4105 Ave C, Austin, TX 78751. Papers will be acknowledged and returned if return postage is enclosed. Annual deadline is May 1.

The Phoenix Award is given for a book first published twenty years earlier which did not win a major award but has passed the test of time and is deemed of high literary quality. Send nominations to Alethea Helbig, 3640 Eli Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48104.
