Call for Papers: Reading Nancy Drew
Generations of girls and not a few boys have read Nancy Drew since The Secret of the Old Clock was published in 1930. And nearly everyone has a story about reading Nancy Drew.
If you have a story to tell, we'd like to consider it for an anthology of essays and stories about reading Nancy Drew. A university press is interested in publishing the book.
Submissions may be in any form of any length. Previously published work will be considered. Children as well as adults are welcome to contribute work.
Send us four copies of each submission, a one-paragraph biography, and a stamped, self-addressed envelope. In a cover letter, provide details about any previous publication of your story, your address and phone number, and E-mail address if you have one. And tell us what editions of the books you read (blue cover; yellow, illustrated cover; or paperback Nancy Drew Mystery Stories, Nancy Drew Files, or Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys Supermysteries) and when you read them (e.g. 1930s, 1954-1958, since 1972). If you use a computer to write your story, send a copy of the story on disk and indicate what computer and word-processing program you use.
