Giuseppe Albano is Drue Heinz Librarian at Hawthornden Castle International Retreat for Writers, Midlothian, Scotland. He was previously a Fellow of the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities at the University of Edinburgh. He is currently translating work by the Italian poet Annelisa Alleva.
Annmarie Drury is completing her doctoral degree in English Language and Literature at Yale University. This spring she will submit her dissertation, "Literary Translators and Victorian Poetry," which focuses on the work of Robert Browning, Charlotte Guest, Tennyson, and FitzGerald. She translates Swahili poetry.
Erik Gray is Assistant Professor of English at Columbia University. His books include The Poetry of Indifference: From the Romantics to the Rubáiyát (2005) and Milton and the Victorians (forthcoming from Cornell University Press) and an edition of Tennyson's In Memoriam (2004).
Daniel Karlin is Professor of English at the University of Sheffield. He is the editor, with John Woolford and Joe Phelan, of The Poems of Robert Browning (Longman Annotated English Poets), volume 3 of which appeared in 2007. His edition of Edward FitzGerald's Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám will be published by Oxford World's Classics in the spring of 2009.
Herbert F. Tucker teaches at the University of Virginia, where he is John C. Coleman Professor of English, associate editor of New Literary History, and series editor for the University Press in Victorian literature and culture. His book Epic: Britain's Heroic Muse 1790-1910 is forthcoming imminently from Oxford University Press (UK). When the dust settles he would like to write a much shorter book on the literary fortunes of charm. He is guest editor for the Tennyson bicentenary issue (2009) of Victorian Poetry, for which the contributors' window of opportunity remains open until early August of this year. [End Page 127]
