Corrections: For the Record: Legacy 24, No. 2 (2007)

The caption to the photograph of Emma Dunham Kelley-Hawkins on page 278 was omitted. It should have read:

Emma Hawkins photograph, original. Inscribed on verso, “Emma Dunham Kelley, Mrs. Benjamin Hawkins, author of ‘Megda’”; photographer's imprint, P. H. Rose, Conrad Building, Providence, R.I., “opened June 1886.” Photograph is 4.25″ × 6.5″, card stock, sepia tone. Photograph is undated. From the style of dress, absence of a ring on Emma's left hand, and Emma's apparent age, it is estimated to have been taken before her marriage in 1892. Inherited in 1984 from Megda Hawkins (daughter of Emma Hawkins) by E. Butler Moulton, Jr. (great-nephew of Emma Hawkins), New York, New York. Gift to author by Moulton on 26 April 2003.

On page 279, the third sentence of the last paragraph should read, “I then made contact with Kelley-Hawkins's great-nephew, E. Butler Moulton, Jr., who told me of a necklace …”

On pages 286 and 287, in each case, the source for the death records of Johial Chase, Hersey Crowell, and Isaac Dunham Kelley should read, “Massachusetts Vital Records: Dennis 1710–1890 (Oxford, Massachusetts: Holbrook Research Institute, Archive Publishing, 1986)” rather than “Massachusetts Vital Records.”
