This issue of Holocaust and Genocide Studies focuses on the churches and the Holocaust. The articles shed new light on the question of postwar custody of Jewish children rescued by Catholic individuals or institutions, the influence of Christian discourse on popular perceptions of the Holocaust, the effects of the wartime military/political situation on Pius XII's policy towards the Jews, and individual church leaders' efforts to bring the Nazi "euthanasia" program to a halt. Our editorial decision reflects the fortuitous availability of several related manuscripts; all of the articles for this issue went through our normal process of peer review. [End Page 377]
