Announcements The International Directory of Philosophy and Philosophers is now ready. In it is contained the most complete listing in the world of philosophers, departments of philosophy in universities and colleges, philosophical journals, institutes, research centers, associations and societies, and philosophical publishers. There are over 15,000 names and addresses. The Directory is the product of four years of international co-operation done under the auspices of the International Institute of Philosophy and with the aid of UNESCO. Co-edited by Gilbert Varet (France) and Paul Kurtz (U.S.A.), it has over fifty contributors, including A. J. Ayer, A. C. Ewing, Julius Ebbinghaus, Raymond Klibansky, Manfred Moritz, John Passmore, Anthony Quinton, Miguel Reale, Adam Schaff, and others. There are sections on sixty-three countries, in four languages--English, French, Spanish, German. Many of the countries have introductory articles reviewing the state of philosophical research and teaching in their respective areas. The International Directory o] Philosophy and Philosophers is being made available to members of The American Philosophical Association and other associations in correspondence with the International Institute at the special price of $10.00 ($12.50 to all others).
