Announcements JUSTICE 200 YEARS LATER: A REAPPRAISAL OF THE FOUNDATIONS OF AMERICAN DEMOCRACYiS the topic of a conference to be held at Ohio University, July 26-30, 1976. All interested persons are invited to attend and/or submit papers to be read at the conference , the purpose of which is to provide an opportunity for interested members of the public to meet and work with scholars on the subject of justice and its application to public policy in the United States.Featured will be maior addresses by Robert Paul Wolff (University of Massachusetts), James Buchanan (Virginia Polytechnic Institute), and B. A. O. Williams (Cambridge University). The Theory el Justice by John Rawls is a focal point of the conference, and the submission of papers dealing with the exposition of his theory and its application to public policy is especially encouraged. Papers must be suited for delivery before a general audience, should not exceed 15-20 double-spaced pages, and are due no later than May 1, 1976. A commentator will be designated for each paper selected by the screening committee. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Ohio Program in the Humanities, a state-based program of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
