The Foundation for Intellectual History (in collaboration with the International Society for the History of Ideas and theJourual of the History ofldeaa) will hold its third post-graduate seminar at the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, D.C. (August 1-x 9, 1993) on "History and the Disciplines in Early Modern Europe." The disciplines to be considered include the history of philosophy (including moral and political philosophy), natural and human science (especially anthropology), and literature (including the study of language).
