Jeremy Ravi Mumford is assistant professor of history at the University of Michigan and member of the Michigan Society of Fellows. His two areas of research are the history of indigenous peoples of colonial Peru and the history of the North American Metis in the nineteenth century.

Eric W. Sager is professor of history at the University of Victoria. His previous work relates to family history, labour history, and the history of shipping and seafaring labour.

David Zimmerman is professor of history at the University of Victoria.
