Editor's Note

The staff of Modern Fiction Studies was saddened to learn of the death of Professor Arnold E. Davidson, Research Professor of Canadian Studies at Duke University and long-time member of our Editorial Advisory Board. A prolific scholar, he published eight books and more than sixty articles on Canadian, British, American, and postcolonial fiction. Professor Davidson's prompt, insightful, and constructive reading of essays will be sorely missed. All of us at MFS wish to extend our condolences to his family and friends.
