Paula Luttringer

Paula Luttringer is an Argentinean who lives in Paris. She was “disappeared” for more than five months during Argentina’s Dirty War. Her photographic series, El Lamento de los Muros, from which the cover photograph is taken, documents some of the hundreds of secret detention centers in Argentina during the 1970s and 1980s and some of the thousands of women who were disappeared, tortured, and often murdered in the centers.
