The Classical Association of Canada was founded in 1947 as a national non-profit organization. e objects of the Association are:

• to advance education by the promotion, development and maintenance of classical languages and civilizations across Canada
• to increase public awareness of the contribution and importance of classics in education and public life by means of its annual meetings, publications, cross-country lectureships, as well as an electronic newsletter, discussion list and WWW site.
