Encouraging MUSE Use on Your Campus
We at Project MUSE know that libraries want their users to be informed about the resources the library purchases and makes available to patrons. We offer the following suggestions and tools to help you increase awareness of MUSE on campus.
Request Promotional Materials
Use the online form to request Project MUSE promotional materials for your library including posters, postcards listing journals by discipline, keyboard calendars, and copies of MUSE News.
Print out Project MUSE instructional guides
Use our PDF instructional handouts, including an Introduction to Project MUSE and guide to Searching and Working with your Results in Project MUSE, in your library instruction classes. Distribute guides to MUSE journals by discipline to your subject liaisons, or pass them out to your faculty departments.
Encourage your users to sign up for MUSE Journal Alerts
Users can sign up to receive e-mail notification of new journal titles and new issues released in MUSE for their favorite journal titles or in the disciplines of their choice. The new issue alerts include links to tables of contents.
Encourage your users to subscribe to MUSE RSS feeds
Users may Subscribe to RSS Feeds for upcoming titles for the year and for quick access to the latest issues of favorite journal titles.
Link directly to MUSE from your catalog or library Web site
Use the Create List of MUSE Journal Holdings tool to download a list of data you might need, such as titles, URLs, coverage information, and ISSN.
Share news with your campus users
Keep up with MUSE News and pass updates on to your faculty and users.
